Its almost 6 months already been here in Oman. I should say on my 1st time I arrived here is difficult. There are things you need to considered:

The place where you will live.
Yes, first thing you will thing comes on your mind is where would be your accommodation? You cant sleep at the street of course. The company provided you a cash advance so you could look for place to live in. Here in Oman mostly its not applicable to have a signage “HOUSE/ROOM FOR RENT”. If you know somebody to share much better, but, here we do have lots of Filipino community will help you to look for. Mostly of the Filipinos here were kind bcoz the pinoys here steel few you will see majority here were Indians and Pakistani. The range of the house here is 100-200 rials depending of there size, location and numbers of rooms.

Expenses you needed.
Now after paying , giving advanced for the house/ room. Its now to buy things needed like food to eat, bed for you to sleep well, a aircon and etc. Were lucky here we have a store that we can buy things in deferred. Its located at the souk. Souk means a market or palengke. The souk here is like Ongpin in the Philippines you will see varieties of stores like appliances, barbershops, fresh goods, live animals, jewels and etc. at very affordable price.

Change of weather .
If you feel the Philippines were hot make it twice here in Oman. You cannot resist the hot weather here. For 6 months Ive stayed here Ive never experience a rain or a small drop of rain. During the time of 11am to 4pm the temperature is very hot. You will notice a few cars and people passing the road. Most of the establishment were also close and it will resume at 4pm t011pm.The first 3 months is quite critical once you surpass it .

Im sure everything become smooth and normal. Hope this help you guy.
