Next week is the end of Ramadan!

Its time to celebrate. The celebration called “Eid”. Eid means start of eating, resting, visiting to relatives and friends. This apply to all muslim country specially here in the middle east region.

In our country this was compare the day of East Sunday were the people celebrate and prepared some celebration. Here in Oman, we have 1 week vacation because of Eid.

During Ramadan all our brother Muslims were fasting form 4:30am in the morning to 6pm at night. I was invited and the rest of my fellow colleague  in the office by our friend Omani a Eid/small gathering.
Eid is time of eating, visiting family and friend, celebration that our brother Muslim doing after the hour of fasting.

There are lots of food that we served to us, there are breads, fruits, juices and one that caught up my attention is the Denggoo / Denggu what ever the spelling!

Denggu

Denggoo/ Denggu served on a big plate/ tray

  • contain a big lumpia wraps around 5-8 layers of it
  • sweet corn on the top over the lumpia wraps
  • a sort of corn syrup that make the denggu more delicious

    • Eating Deng goo

Using our bare hand to eat the denggu/ denggoo. It worth trying.
